Finally starting the Harry Potter series!

I finally finished “I am America (and So Can You)” - and have moved on to the next book on my list: “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.”

Get excited, ye non believers who never thought I would get around to starting the series!

New Year’s Resolutions

January 10th, 2008

You’ll notice that I failed miserably on last year’s New Year’s Resolutions. Let’s see how we do this time around.

I wasn’t planing to be so resolute this year, but came up with these for a post on RD2’s blog. Feel free to hold me accountable for any and all goals throughout the year. Use bribery if necessary:

Work

  • Get better at my job
  • Work smarter, not harder
  • Learn more
  • Get better in front of clients
  • Do better work, faster
  • Go to a major conference.

Personal

  • Read more. Next up on the list:
  • Blog more
  • Enjoy doing healthy things
  • Get better at managing my time
    • Be late less often
    • Stop underestimating travel time, transition time, and traffic
  • Make good financial decisions
  • Have more adventures. Especially, but not limited to:
  • Move out (happening one week from tomorrow!)
  • New Year’s Resolutions

    1. Read more. For fun.
    2. Blog more. For fun*.
    3. Do healthy things. For fun.

*I am pretty good with the blogging for work and blogging for school.

How am I going to stay organized this year? I highly recommend BackPack… I love myself a good To Do list.

June is bustin’ out all over.

If you want to read what I hope is witty commentary on my life, Czech out the Xanga.

For the time being, I’ll be doing something different with this site. [And not obsessively counting comments to validate my self worth.]

    … I just haven’t decided what yet.

Summer Goals update: I am a huge slacker.

    • I have [almost] finished ONE of the FOUR Latin books
    • I haven’t as much as BOUGHT the book I need to read to get credit for my internship [though I tried on ebay and had my money returned when it was actually out of stock]
    • I am through C [as in, “of Z”] in my grad school book
    • While I have decided which GRE book I’ll be studying from, I have not made any progress to get one of my own
