Dear Isaac, Taylor, and Zac (aka Hanson) –
I am writing this to say thank you!
On October 2, 2007, I went to your concert at the House of Blues in Dallas. I was meeting some friends who drove in from College Station to see you on The Walk Tour. In addition to your hits, you covered two of my favorite Classic Rock songs: “Oh Darling” and “Never Been Spain.” You closed the show with (of course!) “MMMBop.” We danced and sang along. I had an amazing time.
At that concert, one of my aforementioned friends (Rachael, who is a huge fan of yours and would kill me if I didn’t give her some credit here) brought along this guy friend of hers – and that’s how I met Jason. Not long after that first introduction at your concert, we started dating.
After seven years of dating and dancing through many more concerts together, Jason and I are getting married! On January 31, we will officially become husband and wife. I couldn’t be more excited. And we are incorporating your music into the wedding! The bridesmaids will walk down the aisle to a strings version of “MMMBop.” The original version will (of course) be played during the reception. And everyone will dance and sing along like we did that night.
Jason is the love of my life and my partner in crime and I can’t imagine my life without him. I want to let you know that you had a major part to play in us finding each other. I also want to wish you a 2015 full of continued rocking and rolling and bringing people together. And I want to again extend a THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!
Here’s to making music and spreading love!
