Be sure to save the picture down as a .ico file - also make sure you copy the URL of the actual file (it should end in /((whatever the filename is)).ico - Wordpress by default sends you to an image preview with the image within your Wordpress skin. Click the image itself (or right click and choose "view image") to get to the actual image itself. Did that help? Oh no!
