American Idol top 9 in 140 characters each
Live blogging tonight’s American Idol on my iPhone! Here’s a rundown of each contestant in tweet size recaps:
Anoop: Usher. Weird arrangement. Didn’t really match his style. Not sure he’ll go much further, but I still love him.
Megan: Bob Marley/ Lauren Hill “Turn the Lights Down Low.” A little slow, a little boring, outfit is bad. Step it up or step out, please.
Danny Gokey: I don’t like his style and don’t think he’s current… Not wowed by his over the top belt of a sappy country song. Crowd favorite.
Allison: No Doubt “Don’t Speak.” Love her hair. Sounds much less whiny than Gwen (yay!)… Love the guitar & hair.
Scott: Still my fave. Love to watch him play Billy Joel. It just seems so right. Even Simon says so.
Matt: Singing the Fray. Piano guy doesn’t seem to know his own voice. Kind of boring.
Lil Rounds: Celine! A little dated. A little boring. So talented! I give her 1 more week until America gives up if she doesn’t pull it together.
Adam – Play the funky music, white boy. Who knew this song could sound so cool? Fun to watch. Super talented.
Kris – Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone. Love this song, love his spin on it. Glad to see him stepping up his game each week.
My predictions for the American Idol top 5:
- Adam
- Kris
- Lil Rounds – only if she steps up her game next week. If not, then Scott (my favorite)
- Allison – I think she’s a dark horse, and balances the male to female ratio
- Danny Gokey – only because he’s such an effing crowd favorite

I saw it too late to vote. I don’t know why you like Scott so much – meh.
I used to just laugh at Adam (see Fire, Ring of). Now I’m liking him more. Why is that? He needs to lose the slicked back hair, though.

I guess I’m coming at it like a beauty pageant… the blind contestant always wins!
