Google Sync

February 9th, 2009

Installing and testing Google Sync today between Gmail and my iPhone. To get started, visit http://m.google.com/sync.

Update:
Be very careful in backing up your current address book. I accidentally deleted my contacts, but I think I’ve restored all of them through Facebook and archived text messages.

Now that I’ve got it working, I can add a contact in Gmail on my web browser and it almost immediately adds to my phone. And if I ever upgrade to a 3G iPhone, I can complete a few short set up steps and my entire address book will be ready to go. Very cool.
