101 in 1001

September 30th, 2009

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (i.e. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (i.e. represent some amount of work on my part).

Start date: October 1, 2009
End date: June 28, 2012

Why?

If you set a goal and acknowledge it (say it out loud/ write it down), your brain processes it as something that is already yours. Your psyche counts it as a loss if you don’t achieve your goal.
>> Sidenote: I recently found a great article on how your brain processes goal setting

Thanks to @kapachino for the inspiration. See more 101 in 1001 projects at dayzeroproject.com!
